Housing is about more than just 4 walls and a roof – it is about having a place to call home. Having a home is essential to our health and well-being. It allows people and families to thrive, children to learn and grow and provides stability and opportunities to succeed.

However, many people in Canada struggle to find suitable housing – from those needing the assistance of emergency shelters or social housing, to renters in search of affordable living to others pursuing home ownership.

Rising to the scale and urgency of this challenge cannot be achieved by any one group alone. We need to work together to develop lasting solutions that get to the root cause of the issue and address all aspects of the housing system. We must focus our efforts on restoring housing affordability and building more homes faster.
