Our Accessibility Plan: 2026 – 2028
Our Accessibility Plan 2026 – 2028 outlines the actions we will take over the next 3 years. It focuses on identifying, removing and preventing barriers to accessibility at CMHC.
The plan is shaped by accessibility assessments and the lived experiences of people with disabilities. It reflects our ongoing commitment to becoming a more accessible and inclusive organization.
Our commitment to accessibility
The inclusion and equitable treatment of people with disabilities is essential to our work. This applies whether they work with us, partner with us or interact with our programs and services.
We are committed to doing our part to achieve the goal of the Accessible Canada Act. We do this by listening to people with disabilities and using their feedback to help us become a barrier-free organization.
We have taken important steps to improve accessibility at CMHC, but we know there is more work to do. We remain committed to meaningful action, transparency and ongoing learning as we continue building a more inclusive CMHC — now and for the future.
