This new data reports on revisions to the following CMHC residential construction series:

  • Housing starts

Starting in Q1, 2025, CMHC will publish quarterly revisions to its residential construction series to ensure an accurate and complete view of new housing construction across Canada.

Data in this series is reported for all Census Metropolitan Areas (CMA), Census Agglomerations (CA) and Census Subdivisions (CSD) geographies of 10,000 population or more.
