- background information on the event and/or organization
- the date and time of the event (and whether these are flexible), and the venue
- audience (who will be attending, approximate number of attendees expected)
- the role you would like the speaker to play (e.g., opening remarks, panelist, keynote, etc.)
- name and telephone number of a contact person
