This project seeks to improve housing stability, affordability, and choice for people with developmental disabilities.

The project will:

• Disseminate knowledge and increase understanding about the possibility of homeownership for people with developmental disabilities and the outcomes homeownership generates for them.
• Provide information and learning resources demonstrating how these models of homeownership work and how to replicate them. Key audiences include:
  • individuals with developmental disabilities and their families
  • community Living and People First of Canada Federations
  • financial institutions
  • legal professionals, and municipal, provincial/territorial and federal government agencies
• Foster replication by enabling interested actors to engage in these models of homeownership.
