The collection

You can access the Housing Knowledge Centre collection through the online catalogue.

Our resources cover:

  • Indigenous and northern housing
  • affordable and sustainable housing
  • housing finance
  • housing policy and needs
  • accessible housing
  • urban planning

We have books, reports, publications and images by commercial and academic publishers, all levels of government and the worldwide housing industry. We also have scientific, academic and technical periodicals in the fields of housing and community development.

Our corporate publications go back to CMHC’s beginning in 1946. They include statistical and housing market reports, research reports, pamphlets, program information, newsletters and CMHC’s historical house plan collection from the 1940s to 1970s.
