
Lisa Williams is leading CMHC’s corporate strategy to achieve its bold aspiration: by 2030, everyone in Canada has a home that they can afford and that meets their needs.
In this role, Lisa is responsible for key drivers of this strategy, including CMHC’s anti-racism and equity program, reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, innovation and the Change and Project Management Office. Her team is also developing an approach to building partnerships that will drive the strategy.
Prior to joining CMHC, Lisa worked for the Auditor General of Canada, auditing Crown corporations like CMHC. Since joining the company in 2003, she has held various roles in Finance and led CMHC’s Multi-Unit Insurance Operations team. Most recently, Lisa served as Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to August 2021.
Throughout her various roles Lisa gained a strong understanding of corporate strategy and the role of various business lines in helping Canadians meet their housing needs. She is also known for her ability to influence, collaborate and transform.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Bishop’s University and a CPA designation.
