Programs to Improve Housing Affordability

  • Rent Supplement Program
    Rent supplements to landlords or co-operative non-profit housing projects to allow households to pay rent based on income. This program serves: Renters including seniors

Programs to Renovate and Repair Housing

Programs to Foster Safe Independent Living

  • Disabled Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP for Persons with Disabilities — Homeowner and Landlord)
    Financial assistance for accessibility modifications for persons with disabilities. This program serves: Persons with Disabilities
  • Home Adaptations for Seniors' Independence (HASI)
    Assistance to homeowners for adaptations to extend the time that low-income seniors can live in their own homes independently. This program serves: Seniors
  • Shelter Enhancement Program
    Forgivable loans for the construction of new and the repair, rehabilitation and improvement of existing shelters and second stage housing for victims of family violence. This program serves: Victims of Family Violence
