This tool helps Indigenous people access housing-related funding and resources, both for individuals and communities. It brings together available supports for Indigenous people across Canada.

It covers the following areas:

  • funding opportunities for the construction and renovation of housing
  • training to design, build, inspect and manage housing
  • eligibility requirements and contact details for 100+ programs
  • other resources and tools, such as Indigenous organizations and guides

How to use the tool

Download the tool from the link above. Read the disclaimer and select "Use the tool" to open the "Tool" tab.

Step 1: Select the desired region for your search.

Step 2: Select the type of support you are interested in.

Step 3: Select the specific type of program or offering you would like to know more about.

  • If there is nothing listed for a specific region and support type, you will see "No offerings available." You will then be prompted to check under “National” in Step 1 for any similar offerings.
The Program Information section will auto-populate based on your search criteria. Scroll down for complete program, eligibility and contact details.

Step 4: Based on your previous selections, the program information automatically appears. It includes a description of the organization, the eligibility criteria, the funding amounts and contact information.

  • You may print these details or export and save them as a PDF to store or share.
